The first bass of the season show up around May 1st. Keeper-size bass start arriving in Pleasant Bay around mid-May. Bluefish take of residence around June 1. July is the start of the school Bluefin Tuna season that lasts into November. False Albacore will typically be seen from mid-August through mid-October. Of course this schedule depends primarily on the water temperature at that time.

Monomoy in September South Beach-Chatham

We use top of the line Penn and Newell reels using #12 and #25 test Big Game line. The rods are high quality St. Croix and Loomis. Inshore fly fishing is also an option.

For offshore tuna trips, 30-50lb class Shimano Tiagra reels spooled with 50lb test on Crowder rods are trolled with various combinations of squid bars, daisy chains and plugs.
